Negative Hip Hop Must Die by Akindele Akinyemi

This is Brother Proof. He was a part of D12, the local rap group that Eminem started.

He is now dead.

A victim of gunfire at a local nightclub called Club CCC Proof was DOA at St. John's Hospital. Shot in the head.

Scott LaRock from BDP is dead. So is Freaky Tah from the Lost Boyz. Tupac is dead and so is Biggie Smalls. ODB died also.

Hip Hop has taken a turn fo the worst. So many brothers have gotten caught into the crossfire.

I knew Proof personally. Even though I would see him drunk down at Trolley Plaza from time to time I enjoyed his energy. It is horrible to see this young man go.

Therefore, it is time to declare war on not just hip hop but declare a full scale war on values in general. Black conservatives must come together on one accord for that we are the only ones that can stop the madness.

We must now declare war on those who continue to sag their pants and smoke blunts.

We must and continue to vote OUT those who vote in favor of abortion and same sex marriages.

We must neutralize destructive groups like Call Em Out and BAMN.

We WILL expand FULL educational options. We will not be beaten by teacher unions and traditional schools that continue to enslave our children.

We will teach African American History, PROPERLY AND ACCURATELY. We will neutralize liberals who continue to lie to our young adults, making them dependent on government.

And we must save our children by ALL means necessary.

We have to declare war on at-risk children who glorify hip hop and negative values.

We have to declare war on the race pimp poverty hustlers who disguise themselves as preachers.

We will no longer allow hip hop to destroy our community. Nor we will continue being called uncle tom or sambo by a group of infidels.

We are the Body of Christ. We were given a duty to serve and that is exactly what we are going to do.

Hip Hop in its current form must die now. We have one soldier on the field (Craig Lewis) that is exposing hip hop for what it is. The culture has destroyed us. Our young people are dying.

50 cent, Jay-Z, Young Jeezy, TI and many others must now be put to rest.

The only ones that can kill hip hop is US. We created it and now we must kill it. Nuff said.

Sure, ignore the work that the women at Essence tried to do.

Ignore the work that the women at Spelman tried to do.

Ignore Al Sharpton's speaking out against the filth in rap for years.

Ignore Chuck D who has been lighting the knuklehead rappers up about their filth.

Yep.

Just summon conservatives....

What a silly thing to do.

man what the hell are you talking about!!!!!

you mention al sharpton? is that the best you can come up with? If you would have said the late c. delores tucker and dick gregory I would have took my hat off to you because they did not do it for political puposes like "rev" sharpton.

The purpose of the post was to show that conservatives SHOULD wake up and do something as well as liberals. I was talking to those conservatives who refuse to do anything.

do you understand the words that are coming from my mouth!!!!

Good article. I am saddened that so many young men have died in the struggle for sanity. I was listening to Purple Pills the other day and it is so trippy that one of the people who made that song is dead. I wonder if hip hop is cursed like Saturday Night Live, you can succeed, but at the cost of your life...

Are you serious? Declare war on at-risk children! THINK before you write next time.

Here's a short lesson: At-risk children aren't at risk BECAUSE they listen to Hip Hop, negative or otherwise. Furthermore,at-risk children don't GLORIFY negative Hip-Hop and negative values, the multinational corporations that control the recording industry & the tv/radio/print media do. At-risk children are DISENFRANCHISED!

Now, I've already broken my rule against arguing with fools(Black Republicans), so I'll leave you with this.

I think if all you're being called is an Uncle Tom or Sambo you're getting off easy. You're the infidel homie. PEACE.

Hey there again Akindele:
I am sorry you got hit with the negative troll types. Geesh! But I was thinking about my childhood in East Oakland Ca and when Too Short's song Freaky Tales came out back in the day, I was like ten or eleven. EVERY kid on the block had the tape except us. My daddy wouldn't allow it in the house and we snuck to listen to it. I was appalled when a neighborhood kid played that mess in front of his GRANDMOTHER!!! And her response was :"Well baby it's just music...". That is a bad attitude to have. Music affects the soul and I guarentee anyone that if you sit around listening to negativity all day, you will internalize and absorb it. Heck, I listen to gangsta rap when I am pissed off or need a release and it really affects my emotions, just as Handel's music is calming or Wagner gets your blood boiling.

So many of us fail to understand the affect that music has on developing minds, which is too bad.

I totally agree that we have to declare war on the NEGATIVE aspects in hip hop, particularly the Fifty Cent street credibility nonsense. I wonder when Bill Cosby's philosophies went out of fashion. I still agree with him in many ways, sadly too many of us dont.

Keep it up and don't worry about the trolls, you have something to say:)

I did think you liberal fool. Why would I write this to being with?

Yeah, good point if you work outside the realm of academia. I work in academia and can tell you how these at-risk children cause massive disturbances in the classroom.

For example: an at-risk kid in Detroit shot a custodian for no reason.

another kid in my friend's classroom pulled out his d*** and literally slapped a girl in the face. Insanity.

What about sagging your pants. Outside of jail where do they portray this garbage?

Ladies acting like dudes and ALSO sagging their pants.

Smoking weed in the bathrooms in schools.

Never coming to school prepared.

I can go on but those who choose to live in denial of their reality will find themselves a dead end.

You cannot argue with reason. Accpet the fact that even in the bible it says many are called and few will be chosen.

The few we need are those who can move the masses mentally. Not splitting your verbs, hair all out, acting like a thug.

like I said...war on at-risk children is necessary to change the culture.

What I'm talking about is this: the negative garbage in rap is NOT a "conservative" or "liberal" issue, it is a humanity issue.

YOU wrote:

Black conservatives must come together on one accord for that we are the only ones that can stop the madness

In Baltimore, Rev. Jamal Byant heads The Empowerment Temple which has a membership of over 6000 people. He is called a liberal. By your own words, he should be excluded from speaking out on the rap garbage although he has some influence because he is a liberal.

By your own words, "Black conservatives are the only ones that can stop the madness".

That's pure garbage.

Ignore the women of Spelmen.
Ignore Essence.

Ignore Chuck D who probably has more respect of the knuckle head rappers than any public Black conservative out there. And he's been speaking out on the garbage of rap for years.

if it such an humanity issue then why are you so upset? You have liberals like Cynthia McKinney (who just made an complete ass out of herself) that defend this bullshit and try to make it seem like white folks are behind the scenes.

Ok so you have some liberals who want to ban negative hip hop. very good.

since fox news right?

Black conservatives must take on leadership in this issue because we TRULY BELIEVE in humanity.

There is no room for free speech when it comes to the decadence of our children. There is no flip flopping when it comes to values.

You pointed out Spelman college. I'm glad they stood up.

Essence? So they put together a series of articles over the past few years to stop the disrespect of women. I'm not knocking that either.

However, Craig Lewis is the MAIN person going around stirring up the pot on this issue. Proof of this is his documentaries are even in the schools I teach at.

Thousdands of young people are denouncing this form of hip hop (and some are denouncing the entire culture itself) based on a CONSERVATIVE viewpoint. I have seen this right here in Detroit where 200 young people denounced hip hop. It was deep.

You see, you can talk all you want but now we need ACTION!!!!! We need to declare war on this degenerate form of music.

Liberals are always in question like Al Sharpton because on one end he wants to ban negative hip hop but on the other end he promotes same sex mariages..even though he profess to follow the Word of God.

This is why I told our conservative brothers and sisters to pick up the torch and help brothers like craig lewis out.

so what's pure garbage is us half stepping on this issue. Either you are for establishing morals and values or you're not.

DarkStar said...

Because YOU made it POLITICAL instead of MORAL or HUMAN.

It's that simple.

You have liberals like Cynthia McKinney (who just made an complete ass out of herself) that defend this bullshit and try to make it seem like white folks are behind the scenes.

1. I don't care about McKinney.

2. You have liberals like Chuck D. who has been taking it straight to the knucklehead rappers, for YEARS.

Ok so you have some liberals who want to ban negative hip hop. very good.

Wow. I guess you really had to struggle to write that one.

Since before.

Not true. There are parents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who speak their mind against the madness. I guess you can't forget what is said in churches.

You see, you can talk all you want but now we need ACTION!!!!! We need to declare war on this degenerate form of music.

I, and plenty of others I know, do talk... To our kids about the crap the rap is.

Either you are for establishing morals and values or you're not.

If you believe that only conservatives can do this, you are lost.

We will pick it up from here:

Yeah, but Lewis is doing it on a larger scale...families can talk all they want but we have to translate that into action.

You see, you can talk all you want but now we need ACTION!!!!! We need to declare war on this degenerate form of music.

great....

I'm found my friend. I am speaking to those conservatives who have written BOTH of us off due to their ignorance.

I love Paris for example. There are black conservatives who think paris is a racist. This is ignorant.

I don't agree with everything Lewis is sayin as well. He says India.Arie is taking people to hell based on her past beliefs as a 5%. I disagree.

There are black conservatives that think kwanzaa is a holiday from hell. Even I ask..how much was that person was paid to say that?

I said black conservatives must lead the way because we are sleeping on this critical issue. If we are constantly bitching all the time on values and etc..well guess what? Here's your chance to how and prove what you got without the approval of townhall.com, RNC or JWS.

You think I am not aware of the churches in the community that want negative hip hop to die? I know 20 churches in Metro Detroit that want it to die and are taking action steps.

That's all I was saying when the conservatives have to get on the band wagon. If liberals are fighting this we need to join in and fight together for the sake of our children.

here we go again another "Blame it on Rap music" type of guy...if your unaware but rock music is just as destructive..instead of going after the music you should focus your attention on the companies that market, promote, fund, fuel and profit from the negativity...but no mention of that because most of them are republican so called conservatives...also what does a black conservative conserve???
