Granholm is Hoodwinking Kilpatrick by Akindele Akinyemi

I just read that Mayor Kilpatrick endorsed Granholm for Governor. I can understand this since he is on the hot potato.

The Detroit News is reporting:

DetroitÂ’s political, religious and labor leaders turned out in force Thursday afternoon, led by Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, to endorse the re-election campaign of Governor Jennifer Granholm.

Her supporters hailed Granholm as a champion for Detroiters, fighting to reduce DetroiterÂ’s insurance rates, help them retain control of their water department and improve the cityÂ’s dismal unemployment numbers.

“She’s the wall in the Republican flood that threatens to drown us all,” said Wille Hampton, president of SEIU’s Local 79, one of the state’s largest unions with almost 60,000 members.

The rally, held in Campus Martius Park downtown, was the kickoff to the state Democratic nomination convention, which begins in Detroit on Saturday.

I need to concentrate on this quote:

Her supporters hailed Granholm as a champion for Detroiters, fighting to reduce DetroiterÂ’s insurance rates, help them retain control of their water department and improve the cityÂ’s dismal unemployment numbers.

Now this is an example of sixth grade education in motion. Granholm will never reduce insurance in Detroit. This is NOT a legislative issue to deal with anymore.

The other thing about the water department is that we cannot run the system anymore. It is far too corrupt, too old and we do not have the money to support it anymore.

What about this stupid statement:

“She’s the wall in the Republican flood that threatens to drown us all,” said Wille Hampton, president of SEIU’s Local 79, one of the state’s largest unions with almost 60,000 members.

This is an ignorant statement. The wall? We need the damn wall to fall if we want prosperity.

It's very sad to see Black people falling to a liberal White woman who do not even love this city. Rap City on BET talked about how Detroit is so violent. People in other cities cannot fanthom how come Black people are so ignorant in this city. Why are we supporting Granholm is behind my speculation.
