A Nation Not Under A Groove by Akindele Akinyemi
Today we remember 9/11 and we remember why we are fighting against the war on terror as a nation not under a groove. Over 3000 people lost their lives today because of Islamic Fundamentalists and people who hate us so much.
I am not saying that the United States is a perfect place to live. That would be totally unrealistic. However, when you compare the USA to other countries that are ran by communist-socialist politics we outrank them 10-1. Where we have the freedom to criticize our government and our President you could not do this in Iraq or most parts of the Middle East without having your tongue cut out.
Black liberals criticize the War on Iraq and the missteps of the President. However, they never criticize the War on Life that is taking place right in our urban centers in America. They also use confusion as a means of keeping Blacks and other races apart through conspiracy theories that are untrue.
9/11 is the time to reflect on the reasons why we are at war and not a time to criticize our President and those who have lost their lives fighting for freedom. We should acknowledge the loss and gains that we have made in the past five years.
