DeVos Makes a Grand Slam At The World Series by Akindele Akinyemi

This past Saturday was exciting for African Americans for DeVos. We walked the Comerica Park area with Dick DeVos and his family right before Game 1 of the World Series between the Detroit Tigers and the St. Louis Cardinals.

These are some highlights that took place.

These were the t-shirts that we passed out before Game 1. People swarmed on us like flies. They loved the t-shirts and promised to vote for DeVos come November 7th.

African Americans for DeVos working the crowd by passing out t-shirts, pens and other good stuff for voters.

Chad Miles, candidate for the 14th Congressional District, took the time out of his busy schedule to help out with African Americans for DeVos.

Dick and his wife, Betsy, speaks to a supporter for DeVos. She wants more jobs in Detroit.

The DeVos family takes a picture right outside Comerica Park.

Dwight Lee of Oak Park, shakes hand with Dick DeVos and pledge his support to get rid of Granholm.

This young lady, Tomeka Smith, takes a picture with DeVos. She wants more educational choice for her two sons.

DeVos shares a laugh with a voter.

This person asked DeVos about how he is going to change the state's economy without raising taxes. DeVos gave her a straight answer. No increases in taxes.

More supporters of DeVos. This guy is like a rock star or something. It took us forever just to walk a block near Comerica Park without being stopped and mugged with people.

Dick and Betsy DeVos enjoying the scenery in Detroit. They told me that they enjoy Detroit.

Just like Grand Rapids was turned around, DeVos will help turn around Detroit if we just get up off our ass and vote.
