One Detroit General Endorsements for November 7th

Here are the One Detroit Network's endorsements for the upcoming general election.

Governor:

Well, we have been lying all along. We really want Jennifer Granholm re-elected to a second term so we can all be blown away another five years. We can't wait to tell our story.

LOL

Dick DeVos is OUR choice for governor. I will not go into detail of why other than he has a master plan for Michigan.

Attorney General:

Mike Cox. It would be embarassing to endorse Amos Williams for anything.

Secretary of State:

Terri Lynn Land. I can get and out of the Secretary of State in 10 minutes now without taking off work.

Congressional Seats:

13th Congressional District:

If dog catcher was running against Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick I would support dog catcher because this does not make any sense. One Detroit is working on an opponent for 2008.

14th Congressional District:

One Detroit has endorsed Chad Miles for Congress because of his position on education, taxes and health care for seniors. I would endorse John Conyers except one thing. Career politician.

U.S . Senate:

We are thrilled to give this to Mike Bouchard over Debbie Stabenow.

Oakland County Commission:

14th and 15th County Seat (Farmington Hills):

One Detroit endorses both Mike Rogers and Todd White for commissioners. Mike Rogers is running for re-election and stand out for being an advocate for improving access to transportation as an economic growth tools in the region. Todd White's position on health care, lowering taxes and economic growth would help those families who live in the district.

Provide that money held in Funds can only be used for specific purposes related to conservation and recreation and cannot be used for any purpose other than those intended.

Provide that if an individual's principal residence is taken by government for public use, the individual must be paid at least 125 percent of the property's fair market value.

Require government that takes a private property to demonstrate that the taking is for a public use; if taken to eliminate blight, require a higher standard of proof to demonstrate that the taking of that property is for a public use.

Preserve existing rights of property owners.

Vote YES on Proposal 4

Proposal 5:

A LEGISLATIVE INITIATIVE TO ESTABLISH MANDATORY SCHOOL FUNDING LEVELS

The proposed law would:

Increase current funding by approximately $565 million and require State to provide annual funding increases equal to the rate of inflation for public schools, intermediate school districts, community colleges, and higher education (includes state universities and financial aid/grant programs).

Require State to fund any deficiencies from General Fund.

Base funding for school districts with a declining enrollment on three-year student enrollment
average.

Reduce and cap retirement fund contribution paid by public schools, community colleges and state universities; shift remaining portion to state.

Cynthia McKinney - gave meaningful hearings to the Katrina Genocide victims in New Orleans 8/29/05
It doesn't matter if the system says she lost - she did not allow herself to become Coopted - She served the Black Afrikan People & her Constituency
The people & the policies that you support with the exception of VOTE NO ON PROPOSAL 2 to support Affirmative Action are not in the benefit of the majority Black Afrikan people

Cynthia McKinney Lost TWICE in the same district. And she does not LIVE HERE!!!!

It doesn't matter if the system says she lost - she did not allow herself to become Coopted - She served the Black Afrikan People & her Constituency

She served ONLY a small portion of her constituency and that can be verifed by people who I know live in her district who are Democrats!!!!

The people & the policies that you support with the exception of VOTE NO ON PROPOSAL 2 to support Affirmative Action are not in the benefit of the majority Black Afrikan people

AGAIN..who are YOUR candidates who support the so-called majority of Black people?

There are none in Michigan you can name.

The Sexist/Racist history of Michigan should be equalized for Social justice for Women & People of Color Affirmative Action will assist in that goal.
White European-American women don't be afraid because Honorable White European-American women have resisted injustice in the past
Association of Southern Women for the Prevention of Lynching -

Coopted Puppet Stop lying I respect White European-American women as God's creatures - I respect their right to Choose who they should marry or have an abortion - unlike Racist Fascist Republicans & their puppets -
All I need is Truth & God
White European-American Women
stand for Social Justice because you know that you do the same job as a Man but you do not receive the same $ - Women are the Majority in the State of Michigan - but Proposal 2 will negatively affect the Majority Population
