I am totally baffled about this whole Sen. Joe Biden thing. He said the following about Sen. Barack Obama:
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy, ... I mean, that's a storybook, man.
I was watching Bill O'Reilly on Fox News last night when Bill was talking with Angela Burt-Murray (editor in chief of Essence Magazine) and Atty. Lauren Lake. Both sisters clowned Bill O'Reilly for supporting Biden's comments (except the clean thing).
I am scratching my head on this one.
Hell, Obama is articulate, bright and clean in my book. I have had many Whites, Asians and Blacks say the same about me. What is all the fuss? Is it wrong for a White guy to call a Black guy articulate?
This is paranoia being produced from Black liberals like Lauren Lake and Angela Burt-Murray.
Biden is right, Obama is a storybook. Sen. Obama sticks to the issues unlike Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. The other two are race baiters who stir the pot of race and hatred in any discussion and cries about who is being oppressed. The NAACP cries about equality with Blacks in education, yet, will not support vouchers and charter schools.
Today, Urban Conservatives (political affiliation does not matter) are becoming a storybook. Many are prepared for leadership roles that I cannot imagine. We are articulate, intelligent and bright. Calling us sellouts and Uncle Toms from the liberal left fuels our desire for success. We are graduating from college and many are going to graduate school to pursue advanced degrees.
Urban Conservatives are moving up the ladder in leadership roles that we could not fill 30 years ago. These Urban Conservatives are young, energetic and are ready to take control of leadership from the old guard.
So before Lauren Lake go off on Bill O'Reilly about articulation we need to go off on those brothers and sisters who do not articulate themselves well in public by cussing on public buses, in schools and in some cases church. We need to train our people to become more articulate in what they are talking about so that we are able to communicate like human beings and not like dogs.
