Restoring Christian Values Is The New Civil Rights Movement by Akindele Akinyemi

I was at the Detroit Federation of teachers meeting last night. They had a call to action to discuss how Detroit Public Schools were falling apart. Of course, you cannot have a meeting without having BAMN present.

These people get on my damn nerves with their lies and deception towards our children.

For those of you who do not know what BAMN is there are a front organization for the Revolutionary Workers League here in Detroit. Their full name is The Coalition to Defend Affirmative Action, Integration, and Immigrant Rights and fight for Equality by Any Means Necessary. They do not believe in God, have no problem with disrupting meetings and supports damn near everything that is non-biblical. Their ringleader is Shanta Driver, the same Driver that said last night that she will do anything in her power to stop the charter school movement.

But before I get into Shanta Driver I want to discuss Steve Conn (the Conn-man).

Steve Conn is someone who consistently lies about charter schools. He calls our schools "2nd class schools." If that is the case then how come they have lowered the standards for Renaissance High School, on the Northwest side of Detroit to increase enrollment to pay off their debts to the contractors that helped build that brand new school? Or what about Christopher Walker, who died at the age of 16 in front of Henry Ford High School in Detroit yesterday? Three teens, two boys and one girl, were arrested. Conn never talks about how violent these schools are because he is safe at Cass Tech High School. What about those students who cannot get into Cass or Renaissance? What about Kettering, Finney and Denby High Schools?

Of course, his wife, Heather Miller, was at this meeting spewing hate towards charter schools as well. These are the same two that was accused of allowing students to be put in danger during a protest against school closings that the pair participated in at Northern High School in May of 2007.

And then we have the ringleader Shanta Driver. This is the same Driver who is fighting for "equality." Maybe her and homosexual billionaire Jon Stryker (the same Jon Stryker who wants a majority of Democrats to run the Michigan Legislature so he can push his homosexual agenda) have something in common...destroying families in the inner cities with their un-biblical message of hate and confusion. This is why I have a problem with White Radical Racist Liberals coming into the inner cities and trying to deviate Black children/parents on what they need to be exercising. Driver is the one who said she will do anything to stop the charter school movement.

Perhaps Ms. Driver did not do her homework. There are over 100,000 students in charter schools now. Charter schools are becoming more popular and there is nothing that some lying group of people can do. Not to mention that charter schools are public schools.

Besides, BAMN is not even a credible organization. They call themselves the New Civil Rights Movement. (1) Have they forgotten that educational choice is a civil right that can translate into a silver right and (2) both Presidential candidates (Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain) support charter schools. So where does BAMN stand on this? If they are fighting for equality then why are they trying to stop me from opening a charter school in Detroit?

This group also recruits students for violent acts.

Here is the real deal. The reason why Detroit Public Schools is in the condition it is because the people who are supposed to serve our children left Jesus Christ on the mantle when they walked out the door. What I mean by this is at one point we fused in spirituality with education and created a holistic approach to education to help reinforce our children values through education and morality. We had a family approach to education.

For instance, when you acted a fool in class you got your ass whupped with the paddle. Or the teacher lined you up with the rest of the class and hit your hand with the ruler. Or if your mother or father got a phone call from the teacher your parents whupped your ass, pants down, butt crack showing, right in front of the class to embarrass you.

So what did liberal leadership do? They took God out of the classroom, took parental rights out BOTH out of the classroom and community as a whole and put more government into our existence. Unfortunately, most Democrats support the notion of no charter schools in the inner cities. Even with Sen. Obama supporting charter schools he will be fought tooth and nail by the teacher unions once he is elected as President. But one thing I did not hear from Sen. Obama was the high level of immorality that has taken root in our schools. What is his plan for fighting that? Or does he care?

The liberal agenda in the inner cities has caused death and pure destruction. For instance, when the Chief of Police in Flint, Michigan was ticketing our young boys for sagging their pants the ACLU got involved to say it was a violation of their civil right. What is a violation is that I have to drive down the street and see a grown man's ass in broad daylight. Hell, I feel violated.

BAMN also recruits right off the college and universities. These are liberal havens for people to be angry, pissed and experiment with alternative lifestyles.

For example, at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor they offer a course entitled: How to be Gay: Male Homosexuality and Initiation.

The course description is below:

This course will examine the general topic of the role that initiation plays in the formation of gay male identity. We will approach it from three angles: (1) as a sub-cultural practice — subtle, complex, and difficult to theorize — which a small but significant body of work in queer studies has begun to explore; (2) as a theme in gay male writing; and (3) as a class project, since the course itself will constitute an experiment in the very process of initiation that it hopes to understand.

In particular, we will examine a number of cultural artifacts and activities that seem to play a prominent role in learning how to be gay: Hollywood movies, grand opera, Broadway musicals, and other works of classical and popular music, as well as camp, diva-worship, drag, muscle culture, taste, style, and political activism. Are there a number of classically 'gay' works such that, despite changing tastes and generations, all gay men, of whatever class, race, or ethnicity, need to know them, in order to be gay? What is there about gay identity that explains the gay appropriation of these works? What do we learn about gay male identity by asking not who gay men are but what it is that gay men do or like? One aim of exploring these questions is to approach gay identity from the perspective of social practices and cultural identifications rather than from the perspective of gay sexuality itself. What can such an approach tell us about the sentimental, affective, or subjective dimensions of gay identity, including gay sexuality, that an exclusive focus on gay sexuality cannot?

At Hofstra University they are offering LGBT Studies and courses such as:

“Gender & Sexuality in Islam”

“Russian Gay Literature”

"Gay and Lesbian Literature"

What's worse is that the Arcus Foundation (a Jon Stryker Foundation) has given money to the following:

(1) Chicago Theological Seminary

Chicago, IL
$335,000 over three years for the LGBTQ Religious Studies Center to develop and disseminate a theological and philosophical framework that affirms the full expression of LGBT sexuality.

(2) Emory University

Atlanta, GA

$50,000 over two years to expand the coverage of sexuality and gender in the new online magazine, Religion Dispatches, by supporting the inclusion of LGBT contributors and an ongoing analysis of issues concerning sexuality.

(3) Lutherans Concerned

St. Paul, MN

$200,000 over two years to organize and support a grassroots collaborative effort to change existing denominational policy at the 2009 Churchwide Assembly of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America toward the full inclusion of LGBT people of faith. (Not the Missouri Synod or WELS).

(4) Seabury-Western Theological Seminary
Evanston, IL
$132,162 for support of the Chicago Consultation's efforts to promote the full inclusion of LGBT persons in the Episcopal Church and Anglican Communion.

(5) United Church of Christ Coalition for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Concerns

Cleveland, OH
$45,000 for general operating support of the primary LGBT advocacy group working within the United Church of Christ to expand its efforts to promote the full inclusion of LGBT people in church and society.

These are the type of people BAMN want to show our children. They do not give a damn about your children's education. All of these agents of the Devil are working against God's people. I cannot believe that so many of our children have fallen into this trap.

Now, with a high level of single parenting in our community we are watching our children die right in front of us. They are dying academically, socially, and spiritually. Many of our children have never been to a wedding but by age 5 have been to numerous funerals.

Detroit Public Schools is a disease. A death trap. When you remove prayer from schools it leads to the Devil's way of living. At this same meeting last night I brought up how homosexuality is running rampant in our high schools and our children are being molested. Who booed me? BAMN!!! Homosexuality is a sin straight from the pits of Hell and there should be no negotiation on sleeping with the same sex. There are enough single people from the opposite sex of many races to choose from. You are not born with it, it is a learned behavior from the lack of parenting from a spiritual perspective. The same goes for other un-biblical principles.

When you are not walking with the Holy Spirit then you are walking with Satan and that is what BAMN is all about....the works of the Devil. That is why they keep hate and confusion going on at every meeting dealing with education. I am telling you they should be working with John Stryker so the can push their homosexual agenda. If BAMN is so much about the New Civil Rights Movement then how come they never talk to the same students they brainwash and recruit about how Republicans led the Civil Rights Movement to begin with?

Shanta Driver is so hellbent on brainwashing people with her flawed logic and misconceptions on charter schools that I almost could not stand up straight without laughing at her garbage. She brought up the two high schools in the City of Ferndale. One high school is over 70% White and the other is 80% Black. Both schools do not have the same amenities as the other. According to Driver the White school has a better facility than the Black school. She is crying how this is discrimination.

She failed to mention in her ranting last night that Ferndale High School have a Center for Advanced Studies and the Arts. This is a program that includes partnerships with several neighboring districts, in addition to the Ferndale Public Schools. High school students who participate in CASA study many unique classes not usually available in traditional schools, including dance, sculpture, Japanese, Russian, philosophy, or advanced placement statistics, world mythology, debate and forensics, global issues, and computer networking. CASA also offers eight Advanced Placement classes through which students can earn college credit.

This is at the "Black school."

The so-called WHITE school is the new University High School. They have a partnership with the Lawrence Technological University. Then they have alternative education programs at Ferndale where both Black and White students attend.

Parents are not just pulling their children out of Detroit Public Schools to send to charter schools but parents are homeschooling, they are sending their children to Christian schools to have an reinforcement of what is being taught at home in terms of Christian values and some are even sending their children overseas to be taught so they can compete in a 21st century reality. We are no longer going to fight Detroit Public Schools because they have to answer to God first. The system is not designed to help our children but is designed to indoctrinate our children to be programmed as if they are in a factory.

So what does BAMN say about charter schools that are succeeding? They do not say anything because they have an agenda that is damaging to our community. All the leaders in BAMN are led by White liberal racist radicals who are trying present a dangerous un-Christlike agenda to our children and schools. This is why they never recruit adults but recruit children. To keep them angry, hostile and unfulfilled. You will never hear BAMN supporting a bi-partisan agenda for educational reform where everyone can benefit. They are dangerous and this is why they are being investigated by the FBI as we speak.

Parents should know what their children are getting into. If your child is part of an educational environment that does not support YOUR values then your child should not be there. Also, find out what your children are involved in at school. Steve Conn has been teaching at Cass Tech for 20 years and he recruits children right out the classroom into this BAMN cult. So does Heather Miller and both George Washington (their attorney) and Shanta Driver indoctrinate our children with hate, confusion and un-Christian principles that will lead them to a spirit of poverty.

It's time out for allowing our children to join in something they are mocking (the Civil Rights Movement). Our children should be joining in the Silver Rights Movement that is connected with Educational Choice. Parents should NOT allow their children to be involved in this anti-Christian organization that hates anyone that stands up for what's right. They are connected with groups that do not have the best interest of the Black community.

This is why we should endorse a new educational agenda through urban conservatism. There are organizations like MAPSA that are out here working with parents to help them understand the facts about charter schools. Groups like BAEO and the Center for Educational Reform that are breaking down the doors of ignorance as it pertains to educational choices for our parents and children. We should get involved today to make a difference for our children tomorrow.

The next time Shanta Driver wants to get up and claim she wants to stop the charter school movement we should quietly show her and her BAMN cult from Hell the door. I am letting BAMN know that there is no stopping this charter school movement. We will continue to grow and develop into a 21st century educational reform movement. The New Silver Rights Movement will happen through family values, educational choice that will help generate wealth creation in our community. We do not need a handout but a handup in Detroit. That is what educational options are all about....a handup from mental and spiritual poverty. This is what God has planned for us and it is time we stop making excuses and control the wealth in our community without any agitators or waiting on government to educate our children.

Civil Rights Movement - an attempt to get "the system" to enforce its laws and policies by which every American can expect to live his life in pursuit of 'life, liberty & happiness' without allowing individuals or other parts of the system to trample over their constitutional rights.

This flips the challenge around and asks THE PEOPLE to live up to certain obligations that are needed from them to allow their family, community, city, state and nation to strengthen and grow because they are holding up their end of the proverbial "social contract" which thus far has been unidirectional from the state unto the individual.

I think we need to change the verbage and to leave 'civil rights' as they are, not trying to extend this concept beyond their national bounds.

This new language serves as a check upon the current left leaning operatives who think that Kennedy actually said "Ask why hasn't your country hasn't done more for you.....with other people's money that they have taxed away from them".

Too bad homosexuality is not a "learned" behavior at all. Conclusive medical research has shown that homosexuality and most gender issues are directly related to the brain- that is to say the development of the lobes, the chemical levels, levels of activity within the lobes, etc. It is not "learned," it's purely biological.

This debate of yours should be considered as secondary to 'we and all of the people' because if there is a continued focus on the so called individual yet the individuals lose their freedoms, those left in power will not care one whit for the individual.

Let us at this time not be deceived in dividing our interested by this continued refocusing. If you want to obtain, retain, and secure freedom, then do something to defend it regardless of what some may project that sounds good to the ear. There are many differences of opinion but only one freedom: Ours. All of our freedoms, and we shall hang separately or together...

As an example with the civil rights organization: Things may start out in the right track but they're not ensured to remain on track without the careful guard and watchful eye of those who love freedom.

Let's take our history lessons seriously and not become embroiled in the divide and conquer method that has so ruined peoples heretofore.
