Why I am Voting for Bishop Keith Butler

In 1982, Mr. Keith A. Butler became a member of the Michigan Republican Party. One of his first political volunteer experiences was on the campaign of Mr. Richard Headlee, candidate for Governor. Mr. Butler was given the assignment of developing and writing the Urban Communications Plan for Mr. Headlee.

In 1984, Mr. Butler ran for the office of Precinct Delegate and won. In that same year, Michigan Reagan/Bush Chairman, Mr. Paul Gadola, appointed Mr. Butler to be the State Chairman of Blacks for Reagan/Bush. Two years later, Mr. Butler served as Statewide Director of the Urban Coalition for Bill Lucas for Governor campaign. He was also selected one of Five Outstanding Michiganians in 1988 by the Michigan Junior Chamber of Commerce.

DETROIT CITY COUNCIL ELECTION

In 1989, Mr. Butler was elected in a city-wide vote to the Detroit City Council; he garnered 43% of the votes, representing 105,000 of the total votes cast. Eighty-eight percent of Detroit's residents identified themselves as Democrats. He was the first known Republican to hold a city council seat in the city of Detroit since before World War II. Mr. Butler served a four-year term.

In addition, Mr. Butler was selected to be one of Ten Outstanding Americans for 1989 by the United States Junior Chamber of Commerce and was honored by President George H.W. Bush at the White House in the same year.

MAKING A DIFFERENCEIn 1991, the nation witnessed the brutal beating of Rodney King by police officers in Los Angeles, California. President Bush invited Mr. Butler to provide valuable input regarding the White House's response to this event and the L.A. Riot resulting. The following year (1992), Mr. Butler served on the National Platform Committee for the Republican Party, assisting other Party members with drafting the language for the Party Platform. President George H.W. Bush also selected Mr. Butler to be Deputy Chair of the Republican National Convention. At the convention, Mr. Butler also delivered the introductory speech for then Congressman, Newt Gingrich.

Mr. Butler was a member of American Dreamers, the late Heinz Prechter's GOP Fundraising Committee, supporting the 2000 presidential nominee, now President George W. Bush. In addition, Mr. Butler has also served as a member of the Michigan Republican State Committee. Added to his list of accomplishments is his service as a 2004 co-chair for Bush/Cheney.
Mr. Butler has appeared on various national and local TV or radio political and news programs to discuss differing political issues facing the national and metropolitan Detroit communities. He is a contributing writer to The Detroit News, writing editorial commentary on a variety of important issues.

PROVEN LEADER AND STRONG FAMILY MAN

The founding pastor of Word of Faith International Christian Center Church, Mr. Butler is the Senior Pastor of the 21,000 member congregation; he is also the employer of over 200 ministry employees and manages an annual operating budget of over 30 million dollars. The headquarters site sits on 110 acres of land which houses all the ministry's buildings representing over $40 million in value.

Mr. Butler was graduated from the University of Michigan-Dearborn campus, earning a bachelor's degree. He also has completed his theological studies at Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In addition, Mr. Butler has received an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Canada Christian College in Theological Studies.

Mr. Butler has been married 29 years to his lovely wife, Deborah L. Butler. They have three children who now serve with them in the ministry: Pastor & Mrs. Keith A. Butler II, Minister MiChelle Butler, and Minister Kristina Butler. The Butler family resides in the metropolitan Detroit area.

If you are planning on voting for Senator Stabenow then you are a damn fool. Stabenow is for same-sex marriages, welfare and any other liberal thing you can imagine that is destroying America.

One Detroit fully supports Bishop Butler for US Senate. We do not care about other challengers in this race. What we care about is the fact that an African-American is running in this race and it is my duty as an African (first) to stand behind this Man of God.

In 2006 vote Republican young people. Vote for Bishop Butler.

A vote for Keith Butler or any other black preacher being bought out by the republican party is a selfish vote to say the least. When voting, it is important not to just vote for whats in your best interest, but also for what's in the best interest of those less fortunate than yourself. Keith Butler is a race pimp. How is he possibly gonna have enough time and energy to run churches over the country, serve his congregation, and be a senator? His hands are in too many pots.

In response to deanna's foolishness...In order to become a U.S. Senator, Mr. Butler would have to resign his post as pastor because Senator's are only allowed to collect income from that one job. So, nice try on that argument but be sure you know what you're talking about before you open your mouth. And he's the overseer of the churches across the country, not the pastor (totally different). And being black doesn't automatically imply that a person should be a Dem. That's the dummest thing I've ever heard. It would actually be smarter if African Americans were on both sides of the aisle--they'd get more done for them that way. Ever heard of "don't put all of your eggs in the same basket?" Probably not.

Reverend Keith Butler - I pray in the Name of God that You lose & are put in Your Place Because You are of Afrikan Descent - Rev. Butler would rather please the Republicans than serve God - Rev Butler should be urging the Government to end its war in Iraq - Afghanistan & it planned war in Iran -
the US & Britain needs Iran to connect the oilfields from Afghanistan to Iraq - they form 1 line - Iran is next on the warlist-
Rev Butler feels that Affirmative Action would hurt gender equity - but is silent on its affect on people of color -
Regarding $ Rev. Butler like Vice President Cheney could take a deferred $ on his church $ - Maybe Mr. Cheney could find him his Haliburton attorney -
If Rev Butler served God, he would criticize the War in Iraq & Afghanistan just like Rev Dr. Martin L. King Jr. in Vietnam

"Bishop Butler does serve (g)od"?
Is it the Lord God of the Holy Bible or is it European Supremacy?
Rev. Dr. Martin L. King Jr. served the Lord God of the Holy Bible - his God was the "Prince of Peace - One with No Guile in His mouth - One without stealing or killing"
If Bishop Butler served the Lord God of the Holy Bible he would condemn this war because it was started because of lies & a desire to take the oil!
Bishop Butler is not serving the Lord God of the Holy Bible 1st & Foremost!

Keith Butler, you have my vote. I believe he is a man of God. A God fearing man. I have watch you numerous times on direct tv preaching. I have seen you as a guest on Kenneth and Gloria Copeland. I have read your book. May the Lord be with you, bless you and keep you. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Mario Writes, People have a mixed up view of being a Christian in this world! I Have been acquanted with the his ministry for a number of years. A highly qualified individual indeed! No one can convince me, (especially someone who doesnt have a clue about Mr. Butler) That He Is Not The Best Choice In 06!

It's amazing how intellegent rhetoric can sound to a unlearned ear. It would strongly be to the advantage of those who try and interpret the bible to rightly divide the Word Of God. It is plainly stated in The Word that God is a man of War (Exodus 15:3). If you read your bible you will see many times where God commanded King's to go to war for various different reasons. Because ignorance is like a pair of sun glasses in the dark those who are ignorant tend to say things like Keith Butler should be against the war. If you read the Bible you'll see King David asking God should he go to war and God saying yes (1Samuel 30:8). That should be our stance. We shouldn't just stand back with our fingers pointed and critisize, we should be trying to find out if this is a war ordained by God or not. Again, if you read you bible you'll see that this whole thing is going to come to an end with a real Holy War (Revelation 17:14). To the person who thinks that "God only calls you for one purpose", read your bible and you'll see that Melchisedec was a King and a Priest (Hebrews 7:1). That is both a Spiritual office and a Civil Office. King David was a King, a Priest and a Prophet. Moses was the spirtual leader of the Children of Isreal as well as the Judge. Also, Jesus Christ Is the Head of The Church as well as the King of Kings. The book of (Isaiah 9:6) said that "the government shall be upon his shoulders". Dr.Martin Luther King was a spiritual Leader and a Civil Leader. I could go on and on. I strongly beleive that God calls people to more than one office. Some don't think that a Man Of God should be involved with polotics because they are so currupt. If you read you bible you will see that God is involved in four areas; The Church of The Lord Jesus Christ, War, Government, and the Jews. If God is involved in Government then why wouldn't he want his people in politics to clean it up if it effects so many people. Do your research please. Start reading, thinking about you've read and then take a stand. I support Keith Butler because he is restoring America back to it's foundation and that is One Nation Under God.

I don't know when this issue came out, but all the people that were and are against Keith Butler sure is off their rockers. The Bible has back-to-back information about holy people in government. Look at Melchidezek. Look at King Solomon. Look at King David. Look at God even. He blesses those IN government. God is "He that is faithful and makes war." President Bush may not know what he's doing at times. But somewhere in there, God is lining him up for a purpose for the United States. Keith Butler has my vote, hands down. He is notorious as the ONLY black pastor in the world that is bishop and overseer of over 350 churches, and pastor to a Detroit-area church fast approaching 24,000 memebers. He is also notorious for "wearing multiple hats at the same time". What even makes you think he's going to easily control his job as U.S. senator. Being a senator is a piece of pie to him. He easily said he would cut some salary and some slack from U.S. senator, but refuses to give up on his church. You tell me that is not a man of God. Haters, go stick your head up your but. SEE YA!

2bewisevoter, I wish that you had left your first message up because I would have loved to read it. First, let me say that what I said about Butler I know from experiencing by attending that church, and becoming involved in that ministry. Yes, I called him names so what, that is not UnGodly, I am not judging hypocritically, but am only trying to warn undiscerning people that there is a shark in our mists. You can be foolish all you wish and think that just because a person is a Christian that he/she cannot indentify and warn the people of wolves in sheeps clothing. If you need proof, read the Bible and you will see it yourself.

I ain't giving up Keith Butler. He is the right choice for the state of Michigan. To leave a good church like Word of Faith means to be a person slapped on the wrong end when they were born. Wow, I wonder what yo momma like for you to be talking like that, onetimememberofwof. And I also wonder what church you go to now. The church you go to affects the way you behave. Word-of-Faithers are blessed and cool as cucumbers, as do all similar churches. If you DO go to church, I wonder what kind it is. Hmmmmmmm.... why does the name "Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton" keep ringing in my head. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! I be praying for you and people like you. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaah!!!! Y'all be spookin' me! I gotta get off this computer before I fall out laughing! Peace out, hatas.

Wow, I am so amazed whenever I hear or read anything that a person that attends that den of foolishness say or writes. It only goes to further my belief about the people that Butler exploits. The are materially and carnally minded. Not seeking to grow spiritually only materially. Next time you wish to enter into a debate, why not address my points rather than just attack me. I mean you can attack me but also address the points that I make. You do nothing to dispel the belief that Butler is a pulpit- pimp. You only show your total ignorance of Biblical discerment and doctrine. That is why you will always be a pawn and a lackey of these big time mega-church having pulpit-pimps. Also, I do agree with you on the points about Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, they are pulpit-pimps as well. My Bible says, in regard to any man do not go beyond what is written. Alll of us are depraved and sinful and are in need of Jesus to save us. Next time yopu come back have an argument.

I am no American, I am African and I live in Britain. I see nothing wrong in Bishop Butler going into politics. The world is what it is today because the church has more or less handed over the affairs of things to satan. Things would be better if we rise up and start acting. Dr M.L King Jnr did his part, and we have several other christians too in the world.
Daniel in the Old testament was a prophet and at the same time a politician, we should also not forget Moses and David.
In Britain here I am sure many of the bills being passed into law would not have been if there are serious born again Christians in Parliament (and not the toothless bulldog religious leaders we have at the house of Lords).
If Bishop Butler is sure it is God leading him to run for the senate, i think the only wise thing to do is for you christians in his constituency to support him in your prayers and through your votes. Afterall you would not want someone with no value for biblical principles and the fear of God to represent you at the senate.

Oyin is definitely right. I absolutely don't know how some people, especially those criticizing Butler and similar megachurch pastors, can get through the days without "watching their backs". Don't u know that what goes around, comes around. It gets even worse when you talk about a minister of the gospel. Please be careful when you talk about a pastor or ANY minister. Swift and painful calamity will rise against you AND your family (These lessons are located all throughout the Bible, and the Bible is the most accurate history book in the history of mankind.) It is true. I have seen many, MANY people fall flat on their faces after talking about a pastor.

For example (this being true), my cousin owned a very large home and 2 luxury vehicles (she often criticized Butler and other pastors like him.) in the northern suburbs of Michigan. Where is she now? She has lost EVERYTHING. She currently lives in an extremely rough area in the bowels of Detroit, very poor and all. I feel so sorry for her. She says she never knew why she got in this predicament. And I told her to think of everything she had ever done in the past. She cried when I brought up "Have you ever mentioned something bad about specific people in the past?" She knew immediately what I was talking about.

She is only one of many people that I know that have fell so hard from their previous "good" lives from bad-mentioning preachers and people of that nature. So people like onetimememberofwof and anonymous emailers that bad-mention Butler, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BE CAREFUL, or you're next in line.

(Note: Butler is very diverse. And yes, particular black people get on his nerves.)

I just came across this website and read all of the points of the people. I read about some people liking Keith Butler, and some not liking him. I think Keith Butler is pretty cool as a person. Very down-to-earth. Lots of people misunderstand him, I see. I also came across a lot of negative comments. Like ANONYMOUS said at the end about being careful, that person was right.

Anonymous said...

I'm reading all comments. All people are entitled to their own opinion. But I was very disturbed by onetimememberofwof. It's obvious something is wrong with this person. I would like to know who you are other than the title "onetimememberofwof". I also need to see what your background is because this is a very disturbing matter. Your comments are the worst out of all of "One Detroit Network".

I also have a comment about the question given "where did Jesus ever tell us to go into government...?" I truly don't believe that onetimememberofwof has read or understood the Bible. If you can please read I and II Kings (the whole 2 books) and snippets of the Old Testament. Maybe it could bring closure to your being insane and confused. I'm sorry that I commented on you this way, but it's obviously there is something you truly loathe about Butler. Please discuss with us what did he do to you personally and when did you leave this church, Word of Faith?

Anonymous said...

So, you're saying that you will wait till you get to Heaven to experience prosperity and blessings? Jesus can provide heaven on Earth for you.

Anonymous said...

Thank you for sharing that with us. Now please read again and again what you typed to us. Meditate in it. Listen to yourself. I can see where you are coming from. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I am not asking for a debate of the scriptures. It is petty, and I am trying to show you, you know, lead the way. This message is NOT targeted toward just you, but everyone in likeness. The reason a debate isn't needed because the Bible IS the debate. It has been tested, twisted, tried, burned, just about everything has been in and out of those Bibles. To me, the Bible is just a dull book with pages full of holy words from holy people from the land of past. It's just nothing but about the same weight of an American hard-cover dictionary. I could rip it up and put it my mouth, grind it up. It's okay. I COULD do that because I'm NOT producing any fruit from it. What you have instilled in you will determine what your FRUIT is from that Bible. The Bible will then appear to have more LIFE in it. Then it will become more valuable to you. If the Word is not getting to a person like it should, it should be studied a little deeper, or seek help from God, or go to one of His alliances, a pastor FULL of wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual strength, not someone who is a so-called minister (specifically one in which you can physically see that the church isn't GROWING).

I've done the same thing you've done. Searching the Bible and everything, and have grown tremendously in power and wisdom uncommon for my very young age. I've been tested and tried in many obstacles until I've found my way. I now know my purpose, where I'm going, what I'm called to do. Rom. 4:20-22 explains exactly what I'm doing. You are talking about people in government, and at the same time screwing up the meaning of Joshua 1:8. That is NOT GOOD, just to let you know. That means there is NO WAY I will ever be moved by what people say that differ with what I see in the Word of God.

Thank you for responding to my past message. I just needed to see where you were coming from. I am an unwavering Christian, going for my masters in Christian theology and general psychology, and will continue to spread great news to the world, and do great deeds. You continue what you do, spread YOUR good news; it will be interesting what THOSE OUT THERE would have to say or comment.

Goodbye and God Bless.

P.S. If we all worship one God, but in different religious sectors (Baptist, Protestant, Lutheran, Scientist, Christian (Independent), Pentecostal, Charismatic, Catholic, Nondenominational (all religions), etc.), then a debate isn't needed because everyone IS already divided. God judges basing on your and my faith to Him. So in other words, do what ya do. It'll be interesting. I feel good giving the truth, and will not look back at the past. As of this moment, I will not approach this webpage anymore.

Stop dwelling on Keith Butler and Word of Faith all the time. It goes to show that these people who criticize the church have nothing better to talk about. Talk about something else a little more positive. If you don't like Keith Butler, quit talking about him. If you don't like WOF, quit talking about it. These comments are only based on "Why I Am Voting On Keith Butler" (It is typed in bold orange near the top of this comments page). If you ain't voting for Butler, then your comments don't belong here! GO AWAY. BE GONE. Enjoy life! Goodbye! Godspeed! Have a nice life. (Understand?????????)

I don't. I go to World Changers Church International of New York. Creflo Dollar and Keith Butler have similar views. I bet you got something to say about this megachurch pastor too. If not, I'm surprised.

Anonymous said...

Take your free speech somewhere else. There are billions upon billions of websites and blogs. You could be on one and talk all you want about Butler and anybody you choose. You HAD to pick this one. Also, I looked up on "Keith Butler". He is NOT running for minister or anything like that, of Michigan (the people don't care about this Apostate crap. They only care about their economy, traditional values and security.) He is running for Senator, A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY. He is anti-abortion, anti- gay marriage, pro- tort reform, pro- right to bear arms, and pro- all things a normal American should have, excluding vile acts some Americans do (i.e. sexual immorality, partial birth abortion, the burning of small churches, etc.) You mean to tell me you're against these things? Not supporting just one? That's odd. Does that means you don't mind to have babies popped in the back of the head with sharp scissors during abortion? Does that mean you don't mind that a homosexual or pedophile is all touchy-feely with your child (if you have one)? Does that mean you don't mind if one of your family members is burned alive in a church because you don't want to stop "church burning"? Does that means you will let someone shoot you in the head just because you don't want to "bear arms" to defend yourself? WHERE DO YOU STAND???

You're not making any sense. It's obviously, from what I'm reading on the comments page, that quite a few people differ with you.

Anonymous said...

onetimememberofwof,

It's kind of fun pressing your buttons. Look forward to me doing more of that (smile). You stated in one of your comments that we tend to follow Butler, Dollar, Copeland, etc. Actually, we do have minds of our own. We do compare who we want to listen to. Time and time again, these so-called preachers show so much proof by belting out scriptures and lining it up with everyday life. We do agree with these pastors because we do know these things in the Bible can pertain to everyday life. Why do you think each of these ministries by Dollar, Butler, Copeland, Hagin, etc. has grown so large? We're not stupid. We listen very carefully, and decide whether we want to listen to it or not. However, I do strongly believe that your religion (what you believe in), is extremely small (YOU KNOW IT VERY WELL, don't deny me). Listening to you, it is a cross between Jehovah's Witnesses and a similar religion, somewhere in that category. I am not calling you a part of Jehovah's Witnesses or Atheist, of course, you're talking about God. I just can't put my finger on it, but you definitely fall in that category.

Again, we, congregants, of the so-called Word-Faith doctrine, choose WHO we want to listen to. We DO ask for proof of scriptures, and it comes right out and it'll be so true. I am sorry that you can't see how the Word-Faith doctrine is prospering so much in our lives. So many people are getting EVIDENTLY blessed. This will continue to reach the world at an swift, aggressive rate, and there's nothing you can do about it. These people that attach on to this doctrine have seen phenomenal things, and I'm sorry that you can't see that. I'm also sorry that you've already put yourself in a very dark corner. But I'll continue to pray for you. Pray for the world, if you will, that it gets more understanding, and only more blessed in fast-growing Christianity.

Hello Guys, I must say I am surprised at the way you chose to attack yourselves. Let me tell you a little something. Once upon a time, Libya was a nation full of Christians. however along the line the Christians got into all sorts of arguments leaving out the assignment given by Christ and what do we have today? A Libya opposed to Christ and his teachings. WOD, Calvinism, Roman Catholic Theology or what have you are not what matters now, rather a life that portrays Christ and Godliness. Attacking each other and using words like 'idiot' doesnot portray Christ's character. Let us not because of our disagreemnt with Hagin and his associates' teachings incur God's wrath upon ourselves (Because all these use of hurting words do not please God.)Please and please let us potray Christianity in all we say and do. Remember we would held accountable for every word we say (or type out as the case may be).
The Bible urges us to pray for our leaders, do pray for America, its leaders and those who want to be leaders. If God wants Butler to be a senator God would work it out and if not, let us not kill ourselves. I am no American neither do i live there but I know what happens in the US affects the rest of the world starting from the UK here. Please let us remember that as Christians the 1st and most important thing is the fact that we believe in Jesus and God's son and then live according to His teachings as seen in the Holy Bible regarless of what any preacher might preach.

That first comment "I am married and not looking so don't worry about it..." makes me laugh. I am actually grinning, not angered by your comments. You seem to get sillier by the hour. I am starting to enjoy your comments because they are not getting anywhere. In order to be in right standing with God, stay prayerful, you and your spouse. What is it with you and this "purple haze"? I know I'm not in no purple haze. I'm doing just fine. The Word-Faith doctrine is doing me a whole lot of good. Actually it is for a lot of people, 'cuz why it keeps growing? Whatever religion you are in, I still believe it is small and pin-point focusing on Christians in politics and subjects of that nature. Great and excellent to know that you are a Christian. I never SAID you were a Jehovah's Witness; your words and philosophies are similar TO one. I'm not sure what kind, but great to know your eyes are on God, but "look a little deeper" in Him and see that God IS involved in politics. The Bible shows snippets of these information that are tucked in every nook and cranny of the Word. If you are a "scrutinizer" of the Bible, then you can scrutinize and find it in there and see I'm not lying.

Believe in what you want about the Word-Faith doctrine. The so-called idiots...ha-ha...(Dollar, Butler, Copeland, Marilyn Hickey and 'em) are actually "idiots" for Christ, meaning they'll do any and everything (hence the churches and TV ministries) to get the TRUTH to the people. If you don't want to believe MY and God's truth, FINE. Comfortably believe in yours (smile).

Lastly, the Word-Faith doctrine has been time-and-time-again called heretical and a cult because those that call it that have a hard time admitting or even figuring out how we're prospering so much. We're having a good time with God, and we're growing with the church and take pleasure in knowing that we're a part of the bride of Christ (we don't focus on it itself, but only on God). Again, we are prospering, people are coming in droves to hear the truth and the Word, and they have a CHOICE to listen to that. By the tens of thousands of members in megachurches that listen every Sunday to sermons, they seem to "choose to stay and listen" and not choose to "walk away and become dumber in the Word".

I'm actually laughing right now. You really are funny. Take that as a compliment. Share some more of your jokes with us.

Oh, one more thing, God doesn't care about Democrats or Republicans, He cares for the person striving to do the right thing. This is one nation under God. This nation has become so successful by both parties handling the U.S. Note that these politicians must believe in the triune nature of God in order to run for any office. So are you saying that these people should not be in office?

Also, preachers, especially in Word-Faith doctrine, don't throw politics over the pulpit. They instead address the rhetoric and right values and views the nation should have.

Also, I ain't thinking about Pres. Bush. He's cool with me. Somethings he does are definitely a no-brainer (continue to pray for our leader). But out of the thousands of politicians that don't agree with Bush, especially the Democrats, why don't they do something about it? They can veto, address, or do something to override Bush's decision. If WORK was being done, then Bush would have been long gone off his presidential role. So why focus on what one, big-eared man is doing? Look at some of the Democrats, knock 'em on the head, and tell them "Do something!", because from what I'm seeing they don't really have a lot of effect.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I finally broke you. I'm not star-strucked. I could never fall on/like your beliefs. It's a little strange and it is definitely unfounded. Stop trying to fight with me and the rest of the people of this network. It's not working. Buh-Bye and be blessed.

If big time preachers were fake, then they wouldn't have the anointing to "go to the right place", and wouldn't cause miracles (healing). Praise God for positive people like anonymous and Oyin who say "continue to pray for our leader". Pray that he has more wisdom, and the government too, instead of just talking about them. These are the last days. We are drawing nearer to the end. People are starting to become more confused about the Word. Stay on God's path. Stay with the TRUTH, where the largest, miracle-happening, most-blessed crowd is. Stay with God's word.

By the way, I haven't been here in a while. How did we get from Bishop Butler..... to Democrats, Republicans, President Bush, "purple haze", to Word-Faith doctrine? A lot of arguing has been going on. But my personal opinion-- the Word-Faith doctrine is a blessed group.

Anonymous said...

I do strongly believe that you can be blessed on Earth. U don't necessarily have to wait to get to Heaven to experience it. Then what is the point of living on Earth? The quote-unquote prosperity preacher's job is to simply let you know how to get to THE blessing, and how to obtain it. So far, I'm obtaining.

Keith Butler and Mike Bouchard are all up into the race for Senate against Stabenow. Mike bouchard already has his tv ads in metro Detroit. Butler says his tv ads are elsewhere in Michigan, and isn't needed in metro Detroit. Pretty good strategy. He also said that senator or not, he would do everything in his power to change the morals of the U.S. I do believe he's capable, even though it may seem unlikely.

Anonymous said...

Butler's cool with me. I ain't got a problem with him.

I voted for Butler. However, your comment that you are voting for him because of the color of his skin is rediculous! You also note that you are first an African. One thing that this country could use is more people realizing that in order for this country to succeed, we ALL need to think of ourselves as Americans.

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Butler lost the primary. I talked with him face-to-face recently. He said that it was all a good race, and that people were uncomfortable with his candidacy, which was why voters turned to Bouchard instead of Butler. I know how that can be. People tend to look at his ethnicity and how wealthy he is. He also said he applauds Bouchard because Bouchard also has the same views as Butler (unless a particular someone has something to say about Bouchard). God did a good job with this guy (Butler) during his campaign. It was just up to the people to decide who they wanted to vote for. Either which way, Butler's tenacity and aggressiveness to reach the U.S. about "right morals" still win me over. Butler said that he will stay involved in political affairs to make sure the United States is "ordered", and he can't wait to "get back to my family... all 22,000 of them."

Furthermore, Keith Butler didn't win the primary. So there is nothing else to talk about. If so, it's extremely sad that you persist.

Goodbye.

WHO SAID THAT BUTLER WAS SENT FROM GOD????? THAT'S TWISTED! I DON'T SEE NO WINGS AND NO HALO. STOP EXAGGERATING AND GET TO THE POINT, Y'ALL! HE HAS A SPIRITUAL CALLING TO SERVE GOD AND HIS PEOPLE, LIKE EVERY OTHER MINISTER, SMALL CHURCH OR BIG CHURCH. BUTLER IS NOT "GOD-SENT"; HE IS SIMPLY A RIGHTEOUS MESSENGER TO SPREAD GOD'S WORD, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER MINISTER. HE IS A HUMAN BEING. HE'S JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. HIS NAME IS NOT JESUS CHRIST!!!

M.Y.O.B. AND GET A LIFE, S***HEAD.

Wow. This whole convo was crazy to say the least. I am another member that left WOF after over 20 years. I was dedicated (christened to some) by Bishop as a baby. I grew up with his son, Pastor Butler. Talk about history.

I have various reasons why I chose to leave. Even though my reasons were valid, I choose to not let myself be consumed by hate and ignorance. I choose not to judge and condemn him. I will leave that to God. God is only supposed to judge. Criticize who? For what? You made generalizations but never game details--then said others didn't have an opinion.

I am not defending Bishop Butler, for I do not support him.

What I am defending is the free will that God has given us. The comments made here, if valid, will be made at Bishop's judgment and should not be by you. For who are you to judge?

It is easy to sit here and spit venom because no one can see your flaws and failures. Wake up.

Honestly, how many people did you think you could reach in this way? Those who live by the sword die by the sword--that's in words too.

You feel the way you feel...fine. No prob. On some things, we could high five on. But it wouldn't be my place.

This is my first and maybe last time on this site. So many more people can be reached past this site about important issues. Why waste time belittling people who need help too or whos opinion differs from yours?

I think I have been nice. Thanks

Why? is it that African American Pastors, Bishops, preachers etc.can't come together as ONE, Faith, ONE Believer; ONE Christian? Not, just during election time; but building a community that speaks of the faith of strong African Ameican people of "ONE FAITH"

I'm all mixed up. I just thought he was a nice guy down the road from me who pastored a church. I didn't know so many people who've never broken bread with the man to post such things. Break bread with him and come back to the table!

My goodness, WOF doctrine is being misrepresented by onetimememeber ofwof, I am a member for 8 years and I never heard Bishop says that Jesus was an anointed man, that is a false statement. You may have hung out with the wrong people at WOF, I know all people in a church are not true Bible followers, I met some of them. But if you have discernment you would never continue to hang out with them or have let their view of the Bible influence your decisions about the Pastor or church. Some people have said some crazy things to me but because I stay prayed up I know the difference. What members spout sometimes as what Bishop has said sometimes is not accurate. I don't agree with everything Bishop Butler says as he is only a man and have a right to his own politics, but African-Americans have always been republicans...please read your history. I do support my pastor. I have the right to do that. I will put you on my prayer list that you be given discernment and that the spirit of judgment will be taken from you. In Jesus Name, I Love You.

I was a member at Word Of Faith for over 25 years. We used to have our Easter Sunday services at MASONIC TEMPLE. I sadly learned that Kenneth Hagin was a 33rd degree freemason. Bishop Butler's Son Pastor Andre has definitely preached scripture out of context quite a bit. God led me to leave that movement, cause I was deceived for years and it got to the point that I had to leave. I prayed about it and I asked God to help me forgive them. When you have people stealing from you, sending lude pix to underaged girls and the ones representing the wof summer conferences saying that God is a hermaphrodite(part male and part female), you're not involved in true Christianity. Something in the leadership isn't right. Wof is not Godly! Wake up and see the truth please! IT IS nothing short of a NEW AGE CULT! When was the last time Bishop Butler sold his pessesions and gave to the poor members of wof? My cousin caught him kicking a woman out of his office after she inquired about a food program that they discontinued.

One more thing, onetimewordoffaithmember knows what he or she is talking about. They do twist the scriptures out of context on purpose at WOF! I never used to recognize it because I was under a deceiving spirit. But the minute God set me free from that "church", I got in the word more on my own and I started getting the RIGHT revelations from God. Pastor Andre is very arrogant and whenever you try to correct him, he gets angry, hides behind his parents and they rebuke YOU when THEY KNOW HE'S wrong! Bishop Butler never comes clean about anything he or his staff does wrong. Instead he covers it up and tells the church to look the other way. Something's not right. He said he'd never retire yet it looks like he's hung it up. Where s his facebook page? Why did he really hadn over the Michigan church to his son? Something is a miss. Paul told his churches everything he endured. He told them he had no secrets from them and they heard him preah nothing but Christ and him crucified. Bishop Butler and Son preach on tithing more than it's mentioned in the bible don't ya think? If 70% of his congregation is in recession, why is he making NO EFFORT to bail them out? Creation of jobs, financial assistance? Cause he loves money, not people. I've had my own encounters with him and he and his son have literally looked down their noses at me and let me know I'm not good enough to be in their presence. Bishop Butler is an apostate and Pastor Andre Butler is hisa apprentice. Wake up, stop idolizing these false prophets and come back to Christ!!!
